SUMMARY:Good Stewardship: It's Not Just About the Money
DESCRIPTION:How well do we manage our assets to support our families and our faith community? \nHow well do we connect our values to our financial decisions? \nAre our resources sufficient to see us through retirement? \nWill our estates be clad in consideration or chaos? \nThese and many other pressing questions of importance to you and your loved ones will be the focus of an in-depth workshop on financial and estate planning at Kennett Friends Meeting. \nThis informative program will explain specific strategies Friends can use to plan for a more secure financial future in all stages of life in a way that is consistent with Quaker values and one’s individual circumstances.  Participants will learn about our approach to stewardship investing – it’s more than just buying shares in a “green” mutual fund or stock.  We will also provide Friends with guidance on using various legal means to prepare a final exit strategy that will be orderly and considerate of their loved ones. \nThe Stewardship Services Program of Friends General Conference offers this and other workshops in partnership with Everence\, a $2 billion Mennonite financial organization.  FGC and Everence offer complimentary financial assessments and consultation as part of their financial and estate planning services for Quakers.  Friends in Colorado\, Pennsylvania\, Iowa\, New Jersey\, Rhode Island\, California\, Kansas\, Ohio\, Vermont\, Washington\, Wisconsin\, North Carolina and Maryland have already taken advantage of this valuable service.  We will explain how the planning process works. \n  \nAs a service to Friends\, FGC charges no fee for this workshop or accompanying materials. \nClick here for a Detailed flyer on this FGC financial planing workshop \n Please email the coordinator@westernquarterquakers.org to let us know you are coming!
