SUMMARY:Memorial to the Lost - at Wilmington Friends
DESCRIPTION:MEMORIAL TO THE LOST \nat 4th and West Streets\, Wilmington DE \nWilmington Friends and Pacem in Terris will host a memorial on our side yard from December 28th to January 11th.\n It will commemorate the 38 individuals who have been killed by gun violence in our own community since the mass killing in Sandy Hook in 2012. There will be 38 empty t-shirts displayed on the lawn. The names\, ages\, and date killed are written on each t-shirt. They will be standing in silent witness to the tragedy of gun violence in our neighborhood. We want the community to know that we have not forgotten the deaths of these  individuals and that we will seek meaningful ways to establish a culture of peace in Wilmington. \nWe will be erecting the memorial on Dec. 27th at  10:00 am and need all willing volunteers to help. The dedication will be held on Dec 28th at 11:30 after worship.  \nPlease contact Mary Ellen Green (302-292- 1793) if you would like to volunteer.

SUMMARY:Dining for Women - West Grove Chapter
DESCRIPTION:West Grove Meeting is excited to announce they are the hosts of the newly-formed West Grove Chapter of Dining for Women. \nCo-Chairs Marti Zontek (dzredhead@verizon.net) and Alyce Denver (alycetdenver@yahoo.com) explain\,\n“The first meeting will be a potluck supper on January 11 at 5:30 p.m. After sharing the meal\, we will see a video about the current month’s project as provided by Dining for Women. Everyone who attends is requested to offer a donation approximately equal to what they would have spent had they gone out to a restaurant for dinner. The money is sent to DFW headquarters and then used to support the projects they promote. All of their efforts are aimed at empowering women around the world to rise from lives of poverty and/or abuse.”\nPlease bring a main dish and/or a dessert to share.  Place settings and beverages will be provided by the Meeting. An RSVP is helpful so we can be sure to have enough table space for everyone. Molly Wood will be our hostess for January. To RSVP please email Molly:  emolly100@verizon.net\nWe will be hosting Dining for Women monthly gatherings at West Grove Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month. Everyone who would like to support women around the world is invited to participate (women and men!).
