SUMMARY:London Grove Monthly Meeting Simple Meal Day
DESCRIPTION:The annual Simple Meal will feature the organization: New Mornings Reentry Services. Our speaker will be Mr. Bill Shaw. This group helps former inmates enter back into society. We will be taking a collection for them.\n\nDavid Watkins will speak about Helen Corson and her ties to Lincoln University. Peace and Social Justice Committee is working on sponsoring Upward Bound\, which is a mentoring system that helps local high school students prepare for a post secondary education. He will provide more information about this group\, that lines up closely with the ideals and efforts that Helen would have supported.\n\nWe will be taking a collection for UNICEF (including spare change!) Gail and Erica Newbold will be handing out boxes for the children\, and will have them available for anyone who cares to collect. Doug Myers is kind enough to collect and count the change.\n\nFollowing our speakers and Children’s First Day School will be our traditional lunch of delicious homemade soup\, bread and fruit. We hope you can join us.
