DESCRIPTION:The Friends Folk Club is proud to announce a rare area performance by singer-songwriter Jen Chapin\, on Saturday\, April 9th at 7:30 pm.\nJen Chapin’s music is urban folk soul-story songs that search for community and shared meaning\, powered by the funk and improvisation of the city. \n“As the daughter of late folk legend Harry Chapin\, it’s not surprising that Jen Chapin has taken so naturally to intricate storytelling through song.” ASCAP Playback\nThis is one event that is fun for all ages. Doors open at 7:00pm and starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults\, Children 12 and under are free. SUMMARY:Youth Program: Ropes Course - Canceled!
DESCRIPTION:Notice:  Westtown could not find enough course leaders to staff the ropes course for this date in April\, so it has been canceled.\nWe will attempt to schedule another ropes course youth event in the future (next fall or spring). \nConcord & Western Quarters Youth Event\nROPES COURSE- Saturday\, April 23\, 2016\n8:15 am to 3:00 pm \nWe will be using the ropes course at Westtown School\, under the supervision of the schools’ activity leaders. \nThis event is open to any child whose parent(s) attend or are members of any monthly meeting in Concord or Western Quarterly Meeting\, or is actively involved in Westtown School’s Quaker Leadership Program (QLP) – and is at least in the 3rd grade. \nSchedule: \n8:15-8:45 am          Check in & registration (snack provided)\n 9:00 – 11:30 am      3rd-5th graders on the ropes course*\n 11:30 – 12:30            LUNCH (provided – but you may also bring your own)\n 12:30 – 3:00 pm      6th-12th graders on the ropes course*\n * For any children waiting for their older/younger siblings\, or those who wish to spend the whole day with us — Peter Lane (longtime Friend and teacher at Westtown) will be leading a hike to explore Westtown’s beautiful campus\,  including some lesser-know parts! He will lead one in the morning (for the older group) and one in the afternoon (for the younger group). \nThree (3) release forms are REQUIRED for participation in this event (one for the quarter\, and two for Westtown).\nPlease complete these forms and send them to the Quarter to complete your registration by APRIL 10th.
