DESCRIPTION:Continuing Sessions\n\n\nHow do we\, as Friends\, center ourselves toward trust and love?\n\nSaturday\, November 3\, 2018 is Philadelphia Yearly Meeting’s fall 2018 Continuing Sessions. Held at the historic Arch Street Meeting House\, 320 Arch St\, Philadelphia\, PA. This is our community’s time to gather in worship\, do Quaker business\, share skills\, and build strategic relationships that grow our Faith and Practice. See schedule below. Adult participation is cost free\, and we ask that you bring your own lunch. A separate registration (with an option to pay for pizza lunch) is used for those participating in youth programs. \nPlan for the Day:\n\n\n8:00 am Check In\nRegistration will open\, coffee and refreshments are provided.\n8:30 am Gather in Song (all ages)\n8:45 am Meeting For Worship (all ages)\n9:15 am Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business (Youth morning programs)\n12:15 pm Brown Bag Lunch\nSnacks and beverages will be provided. SUMMARY:West Grove Friends - Funds for Haiti
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFundraiser for Haiti atWest Grove Friends\nAt Quarterly Meeting in July this year\, Alyce Denver shared her long-standing leading for supporting the rebuilding effort in Haiti. West Grove Friends will be having a craft bazaar & tag sale fundraiser on November 3 & 4 with the aim of securing a much-needed generator for Dr. Jeudy’s surgical clinic. On Sunday\, Nov. 4\, Friends have the opportunity to meet Dr. Patrick Jeudy in person\, as he is visiting the area\, and will be Worshipping with West Grove Friends at 10 am. \nBoth contributions to the sale and shoppers are needed. (see below for details on donating) \n\n\n\n\n\nWest Grove Friends are collecting donations of handmade goods services for a fundraiser to be held on November 3 and 4\, 2018\, at West Grove Meeting House. Proceeds will benefit the surgical hospital in Haiti that many of us learned about at July’s Quarterly Meeting program. \nThey are in need of much in the way of donations: household items\, antiques\, fine art\, crafts\, baked goods and homemade jams and jellies\, toys… and services are welcome too. Some examples already offered are: yoga lessons\, a B&B experience\, a special outing or story time for a group\, baking lessons\, and even a pie-a-month for a year.  They are looking for more\, such as knitting lessons\, an “organize your house session”\, a flat of seedlings in the spring – or whatever your talent or passion may be! Be creative in your thinking\, and join the effort.  On Sunday\, November 4\, 2018\, after worship service\, Friends and the public are invited to hear speaker\, Haitian Dr. Patrick Jeudy.
