I hope you are managing to stay warm this Winter, and enjoying what snow comes your way! Don’t forget, the Young Friends Winter Gathering is right around the corner – many thanks to everyone who has registered so far! Your carpool list will be arriving soon. If you haven’t gotten the chance to register yet, read on for links and more information about the gathering, as well as other news and opportunities of interest to Young Friends, like a political advocacy event for youth, PYM Internship opportunities, and news about worship in Young Friends.

FCNL Spring Lobby Weekend 2014

Friends Committee on National Legislation is hosting their Spring Lobby Weekend, “Endless War & Killer Robots: Not Viable Foreign Policy” on March 22nd through 25th. Join youth from across the country in a weekend of advocacy to stop the endless wars and unchecked military intervention. Check out more information and get registered!

 

Youth Programs Internship

Interested in working with younger PYM programs, or know a young adult you want to get involved as a FAP for Young Friends? Check out the Youth Programs Internship, wherein interns are placed with the Children’s, Middle School Friends, or Young Friends program as a regular FAP and receive $500 towards their participation in Quaker events or educational experiences.
