Dear Zac,

This is a friendly reminder that Workshop Proposals for Annual Sessions 2014 are dueMarch 17. If you already proposed a workshop and haven’t received a confirmation e-mail from Tricia Coscia, Sessions and Volunteer Coordinator, please contact her at 215 241-7238or sessions@pym.org, to confirm that we received your proposal. Below is the original invitation, for your convenience. Please feel free to pass this along to others who may be interested in proposing a workshop. Thank you!

The PYM Sessions Planning Group invites proposals from Friends interested in facilitating a workshop during Annual Sessions 2014, July 23-27, at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. This year’s theme is Worship is a Door to Love. The workshops are 1 ¼ hours (75 minutes) long and are scheduled during the evenings on Thursday, July 24 and Friday July 25, 7:15 -8:30 p.m..

We recognize that Annual Sessions offers Friends a unique opportunity to explore their leadings, concerns, and passions with one another. We also lift up the value of a unifying focus during sessions to support our spirit-led work in community with one another. This year, our theme is Worship is a Door to Love, and among the matters we will consider during Meetings for Worship with Attention to Business is our long-range planning process. Workshops that are anchored in deep, loving Worship and allow Friends to explore matters that are currently relevant and exciting to the Yearly Meeting community will honor our theme.

We are especially interested in multigenerational workshops that will engage Friends who are kindergarten-aged and older or middle school-aged and older. A multigenerational workshop should be planned in a way that is compatible with all age groups that you intend to include. Every workshop should be planned to include Friends high school-aged and older. The guidelines and applications provide more details, and they can be found on our website here:http://www.pym.org/annual-sessions-2014/workshops/workshop-guidelines/.
All applications are due by March 17. Please note these differences from last year- the deadline is 2 weeks earlier, and the workshop time is 15 minutes shorter. There will be informal, self-directed opportunities for friends to share and connect on-site.

Please call or e-mail Tricia Coscia, Sessions Coordinator, 215 241-7238sessions@pym.org with any questions. Tricia can answer many of your questions or will connect you with one of us.

Thank you,
