Did you know our host Meeting has been here for 300 years?? It’s true! This convergence will feature programs for all ages at London Grove, under the theme “Quakers for 300 Years.” Elementary ages will enjoy a treasure hunt for a hidden set of boxes (outdoors, weather permitting), and exploration and discussion of the contents. Younger children will also enjoy an outdoor activity as well as an indoor program.
Older children (middle & high school) are invited to join some special young guests, and learn more about Quaker work camps. A group of Lancaster Meeting’s young Friends have prepared a well-received presentation about their recent experience on a William Penn House Quaker Work Camp in Washington, DC, and they are excited to share how such a service project also included fellowship, fun, worship and reflection.
Parents are invited to join the other adults in Worship and discussion (Bible Class) while the children meet. All participants are invited to share a simple soup lunch after the programs.
Please RSVP by March 8th. Email: coordinator@westernquarterquakers.org and tell us to expect you.
