If you’ve already RSVP’d- you’re good to go, and I’ll see you on Saturday!
Dear Friend,
It’s cold out there! So while we are still dedicated to following up on the Children’s Priority by taking care of the Fair Hill environment, we’ll be doing that from the warmth and comfort of Arch Street Meeting House. We’ll be planting seedlings, painting garden signs, and preparing for the Spring.
I hope many of you can join us this month. If you already filled out the registration form online, you won’t have to do that part till next fall! Just RSVP to this email to confirm your space.

This year, Junior Interim Meeting will be visiting Historic Fair Hill in North Philadelphia. Fair Hill Burial Ground is a 300-year old Quaker burial ground, a site on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a beautiful, fenced, and well maintained 4.5-acres at 2900 Germantown Ave. in North Philadelphia.
The Historic Fair Hill program has expanded with a new youth group, six community gardens, Saturday farm stand, head gardener, and volunteer gardeners.
Junior Interim Meeting will find a variety of ways to care for this environment- we will grow food in the gardens, keep it free of trash, tend the trees, ensure the birds and other animals are safe, and work alongside the Fair Hill Youth group, forming friendships in the neighborhood. There will also be cookouts, games, and time for worship in the sacred spaces.

The 2013-2015 Children’s Priority
“The Children of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting are called to make the world a better place by finding fun ways to care for specific environments so that creatures living there can be healthy.”
Summer sessions was a wonderful space for discernment, and the kids there developed a fantastic 2 year priority for their programming. Read all of the epistles (messages from the assembled body).
