Ministry and Care Thread Gathering – Trauma and Healing

Friends are invited on Saturday March 7, 2020 at Lancaster Friends Meeting to explore the ways in which our meetings can support the Quaker tradition of eldership as it relates to the mental health & wellness of individuals and community. Friends Counseling Service Counselors will be running workshops during the day.

The Schedule 

9:00am Registration

9:30am Opening worship

10:00am Morning workshop: Understanding Trauma: A Friend’s Perspective by Winden Rowe

12:00pm Lunch (brown bag, we will provide salad and fixings)

12:45pm Afternoon workshops: Healing from Racial Trauma by Inspira Williams; and Friends and Conflict by David Schley

3:15pm Closing worship
