Wilmington Monthly Meeting – July 4th demonstration

Black Lives Matter demonstration on Fourth Street in front of Wilmington Meeting at Fourth and West Sts. in Wilmington Saturday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
We would like to invite folks from the Concord and Western Quarters. We’ll be carrying “Black Lives Matter” and “There is that of God in Everyone” signs that demonstrators will themselves bring.
We see July 4 as a particularly good time for a demonstration, because it is the start of a country that was built on the backs of slaves. “Independence Day”– HA! Clearly not for African Americans!
