Gary Smith will begin with the early Friends’ movement, their emigration to North America, the ideals they incorporated into their communities and colonial charters, differences regarding the institution of slavery, and how Friends’ beliefs were embodied in the writing of the US Constitution. Gary has studied this period of Quaker history for more than two decades and served as Chairman of the Griffith Morgan House, which preserves a Quaker home in Pennsauken dating to the 1690’s. Music, worship, an art show and art reception will be held Sunday, September 27th. Everything is being offered online. (See entries on the PYM calendar)
