Quaker Spirituality in the Mexican Cloud Forest Sojourn
Two Dates: March 23 7:00 EST (Monday) April 12 7:00pm (Sunday)
Sojourn: May 24-31, 2026
The Eco-Justice Collaborative and the Center for Spiritual Ecology invite you to join us for a sojourn in the Mexican Cloud Forest to restore ourselves and the world. In this webinar, we will share the details of the sojourn which is scheduled for May 24-31, 2026. We know that personal healing and planetary healing cannot be separated.
The sojourn reflects our project’s mission to restore a harmonious relationship with the natural world and put the healing of that relationship at the very center of things. During the sojourn, we will focus on simplicity, living on a solar budget, ecological restoration, feeding our souls, and seeing the divine in the natural world. This year, we want to invite you to consider joining us to see what 20-plus years of stewardship can do to re-establish 250 acres of one of the most biodiverse habitats in our hemisphere.
We are hosting two webinars (March 23 and April 12 at 7:00pm) to provide you with details about the sojourn and the local projects you will visit in reforestation, sustainable agriculture, alternative technologies and the opportunity to work hand in hand with Mexicans in Joanna Macy’s The Work That Reconnects. We will share the story of how Philadelphia YM Quakers Alan Wright and Paula Kline created a private conservation area in the Mexican cloud forest. In this webinar, we will answer any questions you have regarding whether this Sustainability Sojourn is right for you on your journey. Register here for the webinar.
We would be very grateful if you would be willing to share this information with members and attenders of your own Meetings or with others for whom this would be meaningful. Thank you in advance for your help spreading the word.
