Covid-19 How Area Groups are Responding

On October 28 Concord Quarterly Meeting hosted a program on how local groups are helping during Covid-19.  There was a great panel from three area foundations doing work during these times with their special Covid 19 funds. Pre-Covid-19 focuses continue and shifted a bit as they provide support for housing and food, along with many other things we might not think about such as support groups for first responders.  Below are links to the three foundations along with some additional resources given by the Delaware Community Foundation.  The Delaware Community Foundation has arranged for a virtual speaking engagement by Wes Moore, author of The Work: Searching for a Life that Matters, Five Days (on events in Baltimore immediately following the death of Freddie Gray) and The Other Wes Moore, and CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation, one of the largest anti-poverty forces in the country. A link to this event is included below.

There are ways to be involved with these foundations beyond financial contributions. Several volunteers helped with grant reading recently, and there are other virtual volunteer possibilities as well.
