Dear Friends,On Saturday, September 27th, we’re having a day-long retreat to kickoff a new Intergenerational Spiritual Formation cohort! Join young adults and other Friends from across the PYM region for this seven month program that creates a safe, intimate corporate community and supports participants in deepening their spiritual lives. Participants are supported in developing daily practices that fulfill their intention with regards to the Divine, practicing prayer, discerning spiritual gifts and ministry, and learning the art of spiritual nurture.
The components of the program include three one-day retreats, monthly spiritual friendship groups, monthly reading & discussion groups, and the development of personal spiritual disciplines.
Full participation in the entire program is important to all the individuals and to the community, and works to guarantee a rich and exciting program for everyone!
Retreats
Participants are together as a whole group three times during the program for day-long retreats. During this time, we begin to build a community that will nurture our individual and corporate spiritual growth. We create a space in which we can tell the story of our spiritual journey to each other, and listen tenderly to one another.
Spiritual Friendship Groups
Some Friends consider the heart of the program to be the monthly spiritual friendship groups, where participants can relate their on-going experience of daily spiritual practice and share how the Eternal is breaking in on their lives. These groups build community and trust with others in our Meetings and beyond and are a laboratory for becoming more deeply grounded Quakers and human beings.

The Details
- September 27th – Opening Retreat at Abington Friends Meeting
- January 17th – Mid-Year Retreat at Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting
- April 18th – Closing Retreat at Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting
- Friends age ~16 -106 are welcome to join the program!
- Cost: $50 for 3 day-long retreats, plus books (many meetings have copies of the books on the reading list.) Financial aid is available.
- Register by September 10th!
