HOCKESSIN MEETING
Hockessin is noted for its welcoming home and its diverse family of members. Child care and children’s programming provided. The east end of the meetinghouse was built in 1738 and the west end added in 1745. In 2013, support facilities, restrooms, kitchen, and a multipurpose gathering room were completely updated replacing the 80 year old 20th century building with a new handicapped accessible addition. The meeting room was remodeled in the 1920’s and again in 1975. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
