Longwood Progressive Meeting of Friends was built in 1854. Today it is a County Visitors’ Center. During the height of slavery, this Meetinghouse hosted such famous speakers as John Greenleaf Whittier, William Lloyd Garrison, William Henry Channing, Susan B. Anthony and Sojourner Truth. The adjoining burial ground (across the street) is still in use today and a map is available in the visitors’ center. There is parking in the fire company lot.
