Conversations on Race (series)

Topic: White Privilege

Date: Tuesday, March 22, 7:00 pm

Western Quarter Friends have joined with MLK CommUnity Advocates and Inclusive Social Ministry for Solidarity (ISIMs) to help arrange a series of Conversations on Race. These conversations will feature a short presentation by a guest speaker, followed by time to gather in smaller groups and practice listening to one another. They will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, at a variety of locations.

Quaker Service presentation at Kendal

You are invited to a special afternoon event at Kendal
Quaker Voluntary Service Then and Now
Sunday February 21, 2016

3:30-5pm in the Activities Central Room at Kendal
Quaker Voluntary Service invites you to come and hear from Patricia Hunt and Brigitte Alexander about their lifetime experiences of the transforming power of Quaker service. They will be joined by Christina Repoley, founder and executive director of Quaker Voluntary Service, a new expression of the long tradition of Quaker Spirit-led service and witness, as well as the young adult Fellows serving in the QVS Philadelphia program. We will have time to hear from these young adults about their experiences of service and discover how this tradition is being carried on by a new generation.
Refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by Kendal Monthly Meeting.
