Zooey Deschanel Explores Her Lancaster County Heritage

Join LancasterHistory.org on Tuesday, August 13 at 8:30 pm to view a segment of the popular television show Who Do You Think You Are? featuring actress and singer-songwriter Zooey Deschanel as she explores her Lancaster County family heritage. Partially filmed at LancasterHistory.org, the show airs live Tuesday evening, August 13, at 9 pm on TLC. Originally broadcast on NBC, Who Do You Think You Are? has been given new life by TLC with eight new episodes. Zooey Deschanel, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Applegate and Chris O’Donnell are just a few of this year’s guests.
The evening event begins with an 8:30 reception in Ware Commons followed by a live screening of the show from 9 to 10pm in Ryder Hall. Meet and greet local Lancastrians who helped the show producers with site selection and historical background; meet theLancasterHistory.org archivists responsible for much of the research. They will share some of their experiences before the screening at 9pm. The event is free and open to the public.
