– notes from the December 2 Religious Education Conversation Circle
As with any activity, think about why you do it, then consider how you can meet that aim. It may be only a slight variation is needed or you may discover new activities that provide opportunities to connect to people, places, and values of importance.
Sing carols outdoors from designated spots and wearing masks
Video a beloved member of meeting reading a book on the season’s themes and send the video link around
Everyone loves mail! Provide blank note card materials and stamped, addressed envelopes for community members to send greetings.
Set up vignettes that can be seen through the meeting house windows. Friends can stop by when their schedule permits to create or view.
Plan an outside story walk at your meetinghouse with a Christmas or seasonally-themed story
Make and put out kindness rocks for Friends.
Decorate an outside tree, window or door outside at your meetinghouse. Schedule times for decorating so people can be distant or all arrive together and wait your turn in your cars so you can see the community transform the tree.
Have an online potluck – organize delivery for a set time, eat together, and then have a sharing circle or show and tell on giving, peace, love…
